Falken 22 inch rim size tyres will kill you.

Based on over 40 years experience driving everyday and log books up to 100klm a year and having dealt with many vehicles - Falken tyres are dangerous.

1/ Two tyres of less than 3 months old with no more than 2oooklm have blown out in peak hour freeway use.( imagine if cornering )

2/ Two other Falken tyres same age and milage rendered usless and unsafe and had to be replaced due to tears in side walls. (four tyres)

When a tyre wall is damaged and you go back to the tyre outlet - the tyre dealer will accuse you of hitting something hard. So, you replace the tyre at your cost, then weeks later another tyre goes on you - so you begrudgingly replace that tyre being conscious that you have not hit a kerb etc so hard. Then a third tyre goes on you - I then took the Falken tyres off the new nissan they were on, and had no prob with replacement different brand tyre.

Having two Falken tyres loose about, I invested in two more and fitted these to a new Mercedes". With in 3 weeks I had a split in one on the front and 6 weeks later I have just had them taken all off when the rear tyre developed a bulge the size of a cricket ball on the wall that was rubbing on the inside of wheel arch and distorted tyre/.

The retail tyre dealers don't give a hoot and would rather say you hit something hard and will not report back to manufacturer?. Tyre dealers are used to dealing with good tyres;. The Falken Tyre manufacturer has nothing in place to get feed back from dealers of tyre probs:. So you are on your own|.

Being cheap and good looking tread pattern you are not to blame in expecting a tyre that a reputable tyre dealer will sell thinking it is as good as any other/.

I support this danger here - by advising, as I was annoyed at having to realise I had to get rid of the Falken tyres for my family safety and wallet safety - I mentioned my experience to another person who had same problem - and then looking at ebay we saw same tyres with pics which had one with same problem'.

Be warned - 129319a

Tires just don't "tear" by themselves. You absolutely hit something that damaged them. The failure rate of truly defective tires is beyond miniscule. I haven't seen a truly defective tire is months, and we wholesale hundreds of tires daily, and examine several returned for adjustment examination daily. Falkens' failure rate is no more and no less than any other brand's.

First of all, 22" size tires are not meant to be reliable for automobiles, regardless of manufacturer.

Second, it helps to know your wheel size, exact tire size and profile, and exact vehicle you're placing these on (and affecting modifications such as fender rolling, suspension drops or lifting kits).

I've been using Falken tires for over 40k miles and they are absolutely amazing for their cost. By the lack of information you're providing, it sounds to me like your fitment and application was so far beyond specifications that it was causing issues and/or the shop where you're having your work done has no idea what they're doing.

So hard? So you 'were' hitting curbs?

I can understand your frustration dealing with this, but this seems less rational and more like unwarranted, incorrectly diagnosed blame.

I have 22 inch Falken rims and tires that I have on my Denali and have put approx. 77,000 miles on them and had only one problem with one rim. The chrome was chipping so I brought it to the dealer I had purchased them from and they were more than willing to exchange it with a new one free of charge to me. I'm still driving on the same tires and I love them. Sounds like this got generic Falkens and got ripped off from his tire place. I know if that would happen to me I would make sure I got all my money back.
